Zlatibor Mona Hotel is owned
by the prestigious company MONA d.o.o. from Belgrade, and it is
located in the center of Zlatibor, close to all the attractions of
this tourist center. It is situated 253 km southwest of Belgrade,

the occasion of Vidovdan, now traditionally,
"Vidovdan Academy"took place at which awards were presented to
prominent national authors in the field of culture, economy and
sports. The jury, which
was presided by Academic Dragan Nedeljkovic
decided to award six medallions.
This year celebration was held
on June 27 at the Hotel Zlatibor Mona, in
front of
large audience. On that occasion, recognition
"Knight of the Serbian
business" went to
Djordje Momirović, "Knight of Serbian
culture"
to Milovan Vitezović, "Knight
of Serbian
acting"
to Aleksandar

"Knight

For the first time
medal "Knight of Serbian medicine" was
awarded
to Marko Bumbaširević.
The ceremony is organized in honor of our
heroic ancestors who
never failed their homeland and people,
who would rather die than live shamefully. The event
was celebrated with songs
and dance
by cultural and arts
society Zlatibor from Cajetina. Vidovdan
sermon was read
by Academic Dragan Nedeljkovic, and hosts
were wearing models
from the "Empire"
collection."
The whole event is
traditionally being held under
auspice of Čajetina
municipality and
Club of Economic Journalists.
CONGRESS OF EMRF AND ASSEMBLY OF HORES AT ZLATIBOR MONA HOTEL
From
14 to 16 June, at the Zlatibor Mona hotel, under the auspices of the
Ministry of Economy and Regional Development from Government of the
Republic of Serbia, held a congress of Euro Mediterranean restaurant
Federation - EMRF. During the event, expert consultation was held
and a regular meeting of the Association of the hotel and
hospitality industry of the Serbian economy - HORES, as well as
numerous meetings between representatives of hotel and catering
industry of Serbia. This meeting was attended by about one hundred
representatives of the hotel and catering industry of Serbia, the
Balkans and the Mediterranean, from Greece, Cyprus, Egypt, Canada,
Morocco, Syria, Jordan, Bosnia, Montenegro and more. Official
opening that was followed by media, was opened by the chairman EMRF,
Khaled Osman from Egypt.
According to Tomislav Momirovic, Chairman of the Executive Board of
HORES, the only way to exit from the crisis is turning to local
successful businessmen, which could be important strategic partners
in development.
Theme of this year's congress is global warming and altered climatic
conditions on the planet, which will influence the world as well as
have a regional tourism effect shortening the winter season.
Importance of Congress EMRF in Serbia and Zlatibor (in the Hotel
Zlatibor Mona) is of great importance to regional tourism
development and promotion level of service in the hotel and
restaurant sector.

EXHIBITION OF PAINTINGS BY MILIC OD MACVE
Congress Hall of Mona Zlatibor Hotel is
having another great
exhibition. This time, it's Milic od Macve, well known and one of
the most important Serbian artists of XX century. Exhibition that
started on 7th of February at 19:00 is organized to celebrate 75
years since famous painter was born.
Exhibition is authored by Nikola Kusovac and officially
opened by Ljubivoje Rsumovic. Paintng will be exhibited until 7th of
March this year.
Besides Milic od Macve, this retrospective also covers works by
Kostomir Radovanov, General Lepenski and features works created from
1953 until 1999.
Numerous celebrities have attended the opening ceremony: Olja Ivanjicki,
Momo Kapor, Milic's family mambers and many others to name a few.

Mona Zlatibor Hotel joined
strengths with art studio "Mali Monmartr" from Belgrade to organize
unusual exhibition: "Zlatibor as seen by our youngest". Exhibition
will present 40 artworks, in pastel, water paints and combined
techniques, all inspired by Zlatibor, ethno culture, countryside and
it's motifs.
Works were created in Staro Selo Museum in Sirogojno, where kids
from 6 to 12 attended an art colony. Some of those works were
finished in art studio in Belgrade.
Exhibition will open on 21 December 2008, on a Child's Day, at
13:00. Works will be at display until 5 January 2009. All works are
also available through catalog.

MONA”
On
January 12, in the congress hall of Zlatibor Mona Hotel, the
exhibition of paintings of Momo Kapor “Momo in Mona” was opened. The
author of the exhibition, which includes 33 canvases, is a
well-known art historian and critic, Nikola Kusovac. In his own
short speech, Kapor told the audience that his grandparents came
from the mountains of Herzegovina, and worked in police, railway
companies, in state institutes and they never went back to the
mountains. He said that he is the first man who is taking his
paintings back to the mountain.
The painter and writer said: “I paint and write. For these kinds of
art it is necessary to have two lives, and I have one, a short one.
I just need to go through these crazy 70-ties, and after that I will
settle down, because these are the dangerous ages. The shortest
biography I got from my grandmother Jovana, who was watching me
painting a canvas in Herzegovina, and said: “Nobody will notice if
our Momcilo gets crazy”.
The exhibition of a high artistic level will be opened until
February 10 in the congress hall of Zlatibor Mona Hotel.
