EXIBITION OF MOMO KAPOR “MOMO IN
MONA”
On
January 12, in the congress hall of Zlatibor Mona Hotel, the
exhibition of paintings of Momo Kapor “Momo in Mona” was opened. The
author of the exhibition, which includes 33 canvases, is a
well-known art historian and critic, Nikola Kusovac. In his own
short speech, Kapor told the audience that his grandparents came
from the mountains of Herzegovina, and worked in police, railway
companies, in state institutes and they never went back to the
mountains. He said that he is the first man who is taking his
paintings back to the mountain.
The painter and writer said: “I paint and write. For these kinds of
art it is necessary to have two lives, and I have one, a short one.
I just need to go through these crazy 70-ties, and after that I will
settle down, because these are the dangerous ages. The shortest
biography I got from my grandmother Jovana, who was watching me
painting a canvas in Herzegovina, and said: “Nobody will notice if
our Momcilo gets crazy”.
The exhibition of a high artistic level will be opened until
February 10 in the congress hall of Zlatibor Mona Hotel.
GALA OPENING OF ZLATIBOR MONA HOTEL
The
owners of Mona d.o.o. Company, Nada and Djordje Momirovic, have
opened the renovated Zlatibor Mona Hotel, which with its appearance,
structure, ambiance, and service justifies its 4 stars. The Hotel
renovation, which lasted from March to the end of August and cost
EUR 3.5 mullion, and the overall investment from 2005, when the
Hotel became the property of Mona d.o.o. exceeds EUR 6.5 million.
After consecration of Zlatibor Mona Hotel, it was opened by Milan
Stamatovic, the mayor of the municipality of Čajetina.
This gala event was attended by many people from business, tourist,
cultural, and public life of Zlatibor, Užice, and Belgrade. Olja
Ivanjicki exhibited four cycles of paintings under the title
“Magicians, Monarchs, and Poets”.
The paintings that have been seen in the biggest capitals were
inspired by poems of Laza Kostic, Esenin, Njegoš, Solomon. At the
gala opening, the poems were read by actors from Užice theater and
our art historian Nikola Kusovac, expressed his critical acclaim for
the paintings and the exhibition.
The exhibition in the congress hall of the Hotel is open for public
from November 26 to the middle of January. Olivera Jeftic, the most
successful athlete, connects her plans for future to the most
luxurious hotel in Zlatibor Mt. After the official gala opening
part, the guests were invited to the dinner in the beautiful Vila
restaurant where they enjoyed in eating the specialties of Zlatibor
and international cousin. The band “Love for love” and singer
Jellena made atmosphere superb.
